(Some frequently asked questions and their
answers)
Q: What are the requirements?
A: All interested talent must meet the following criteria:
You must be located in Alabama, Georgia,
NW Florida, Mississippi or Tennessee
You must be very responsible, reliable, personable, and dedicated to pursuing modeling
as either a full or part-time occupation. Those of you that deep down
inside will give it your all have a better chance of success.
If signed you must be
able to show up on time or early on every assignment or booking. There
should be no exceptions or excuses for being tardy to a booking. If you
are to be somewhere we expect you to be there, it is our reputation at
stake too!
You must be over 18 - at this
time, we do not represent children! There are NO height or
weight requirements!
Q: Do I need experience?
A: No, models starting out do not need extensive experience. Some of our models come to us with no
previous experience while others have years in the business but are looking
for new representation.
Q: What should I bring to the interview?
A: When you come to the interview, bring some
photos, what ever you have will be ok, professional or not . Just
something that we can look at to see how you photograph. It will help us and
will give you a better
chance of getting selected. If you do not have a portfolio or any good
pictures, that is part of what we do. We will work with you to help you get
some quality photos done.
Q: What should I wear to the
interview?
A: Dress for success if at all possible,
but you do not have to do anything out of the ordinary, but we want to
see you at your best if possible. We just want to get a look at you to
see what we need to do to help you get started.
Q: Can I bring someone with me to the
interview?
A: If you would like, we have no problem
with that, however we would like to conduct the interview in a business
like manner. Small children can be a distraction, we love them but if
possible, please find someone to keep the kids. After all when you go on
an interview for a job or on an assignment you should not bring your
family along. That is a un-warranted distraction and will not present a
very professional image. Remember Image is everything in this
business!!!
Q: I work late, are interviews available
evenings or on the weekend?
A:
Yes, we will try our best to meet with
you, at a time that is convenient for both of us. We want to be someone
that you can count on to provide you with the best service.
Q: What is a typical assignment?
A: In general, assignments that models are typically booked
for are as follows.
Catalogues, posters,
calendars, advertising circulars, magazines, workshops, stock photography, internet,
and photographer testing.
Also there are also assignments such as
acting in films, videos or commercials, doing fashion shows, being a
spokesmodel, doing mall promotions, trade
conventions, charity events and product handouts. Many of these are paying
assignments some you will do for the experience or trade your time for
prints.
Remember, the more you get your name and face
out there the better your chances are for getting work.
Q: How much will this cost?
A: Well, you need several items and you must cover the cost.
First of all you will need photos
showing what you can do and how you look. You need to project as
many different looks and styles as possible, the more versatile you are
the better your chances of getting chosen for an assignment, or project.
Second, You need comp cards. Those are printed cards that show several
photos of you and may also include your statistics and contact information. We can provide
these services to you for a reasonable cost depending on what you
actually have and what you needs are. Just click on this link to see Photo Services,
or click the link at the bottom of this page when you finish reading all
the information in this section.
Third, you need exposure. Your main exposure will come in your on-line
portfolio being shown day and night 24 hours a day on our web site and
also your information and listing in the Models Book we are putting
together. In addition, selected models will have there photos posted on
several internet modeling forums to seek out work for you.
Q: How do I sign up? What do I get?
A: After both parties feel comfortable that a good working
relationship can be established we will invite you to sign, and the real work begins!
Each models needs will be evaluated and the
appropriate recommendations will be made for photographs, portfolio, and your composite
cards. Then we will know what we need to do to get your personal on-line
portfolio ready at the DreamGirlPhoto website. We will promote you on
various appropriate news groups and internet forums, which will put your information at the
hands of a national and international audience. You will also be placed in our
Models book, to be seen by clients, ad agencies and firms throughout the
region. We also will use our DreamGirlPhoto models on our various projects,
photo shoots and workshops as well!
Q: Do I
have to get comp cards and photos?
A: YES! Starting models MUST have comp cards within 90 days of signing and
photos for the DreamGirlPhoto Models book within 30 days or their representation will cease until those
requirements are met. If you are serious about modeling and want to
have the opportunity to get work you must invest in the tools of the trade.
If you are
not as serious as we are in getting you the opportunity to get work, we can
not promote you and quite frankly, would not want to represent you.
